This workshop will explore drawing techniques, value, composition and mediums. Instructor Michelle Gazey will lead participants through a variety of engaging drawing exercises through to a final drawing. This can be the jumping off point to her next course, Energetic Oil Painting if you wish.

Learn the basics of oil painting with Michelle Gazely in this 2 day workshop. This workshop is for beginner painters and those looking to add oil paints into their art practice. Studio materials, value studies, colour mixing, composition, and brush strokes will be explored. The aim of this workshop is for participants to enjoy the process and paint fearlessly. There will be a 1/2 hr lunch break.
