Fun and inspiring, these art classes will encourage creativity, as your child discovers a variety of different mediums. Printmaking, painting, pastels, hand building with clay and drawing will be explored. Instructor Michelle Gazely will create a positive, supportive and high energy environment for your child to experiment, learn and play with new art techniques.

PRINTMAKING Techniques Explored: 6-8 years old • creating a printmaking plate • printmaking using printmakers tools including a brayer and printing ink 9-12 years old • linocut printmaking • printmaking using printmakers tools, including a lino cutter, lino block, brayer and printing ink |
THURSDAY
STILL LIFE DRAWING ACRYLIC PAINTING ON A LARGE CANVAS Techniques Explored: • drawing exercises to improve hand/eye coordination • observation • colour mixing • acrylic painting |
FRIDAY
PAINTING POTTERY Techniques Explored: • colour mixing • acrylic painting PORTRAIT DRAWING (time permitting) Techniques Explored: • drawing a face with correct proportions • observation ART SHOW Your kids will have a chance to show off their weeks work with a show for you!! |
All of the art supplies will be provided. We will enjoy a half time break to play, run and stretch. Not all children create at the same pace, so extra art projects will be included for those children who create quickly! This schedule may be subject to minor changes.
